Overview

Mercedes Sprinter Camper Converted

MOT until October 2016

The van has covered 142,000 Miles

This van was previously used as a motocross van, there is room in the back garage area for a motorbike and spares and plenty of room inside for living.

The chequer plate on the garage compartment has eyelets built in for strapping the contents down, we have been using this to store wheels and jacks as the van has been used for occasional race meetings.

We have recently had a tow bar fitted with all electrics which is a great addition to the van.

Since owning the van we have fitted 2 x new leisure battery's and one general battery, 4 x new tyres 1500 miles ago so all still like new.

New brake discs and pads fitted less than 12 months ago along with front ball joints.

The audio in the van has been upgraded, we have fitted upgraded speakers in the front and aftermarket speakers in the rear also, the rears are driven by an amplifier however with the current head unit they do not work, we have removed our original unit for sale however by fitting another unit with aux outputs on the rear would solve this.

The awning on the side of the van is in good condition, folds out as it should do , does have one small tear in the material but hardly noticeable.

When we purchased the van the split charge system was not working and to ensure this was correct we fitted a new system.

The van has a working TV with Ariel which is mounted to the roof of the van, this was all fitted under 1 year ago.

There are 2 beds in the van, one which pulls out from the sofa and the other is at the rear of the van at the top.

Bathroom with toilet and shower, both in working order.

Gas cooker, again in full working order, a great addition to the van.

The van had been re mapped before we purchased it , it gets good MPG and pulls well through all the gears even when towing.

Most sprinters are suffering from rust however this one seems to be the exception, there are a few spots of surface rust here and there but nothing to worry about. when we were looking for a van we spent a long time searching for one with minimal rust issues.
The van was also wax oiled 12 months ago to help with the rust prevention.

There are a couple of small imperfections on the van the dash vents are damaged as you will be able to see in the pictures , this is a very common thing and these vents are readily available.

The driver side rear door strap is broken this doesn't affect how the door works just a bit noisy when you open it.

Overall this van is a great asset and we have had a lot of use from it but it is now no longer required as we have just bought a motor home.
